The coil cable is the wire that runs from your search coil — the disc at the bottom of the detector — up the shaft (the pole) to the controls, and it's easily snagged or frayed. This is a fabric sleeve that wraps along that cable to protect it from scrub and wear, tidying the loose wire against the shaft at the same time. It slips on quickly and comes in an assorted reptile-themed colour. Australian-made, and supplied to fit the Minelab Equinox coil cable.
