A snuffer bottle is a small, soft plastic squeeze bottle with a thin nozzle, used for the last step of panning. Once you've washed a pan down to a few specks of fine gold sitting in water, they're too small to pick up by hand. You squeeze the bottle to push the air out, hold the tip over a speck, and let go, and the bottle sucks the gold and a little water straight up. The cap seals it so your gold is stored safely until you tip it out.
